Pelham Estate

Pelham Estate is a newly built Equestrian facility, with top class arenas and stabling cervices. The Estate is situated 180 kilometres east of Port Elizabeth and have a view of the Southern Ocean.

We have stabling facilities for 50 horses in the main barn, (Zurich Stables) and an additional 30 in the southern barn, (Velcha Stables) there are also 15 luxury stables,(Rahlin Stables) available near the main guest housing. 

Our Arenas include a synthetic 1.5 kilometre race track, a main dressage arena (synthetic) including stands for 200 spectators, next to it the main jumping arena also with seating for 200 spectators. We also have three grass arenas for training and warming up, and three lunging rings. The endurance and the cross country events are held in the same area, with the start and ending points at the main paddock in front of the estate house, the area is devided into two parts, the forest half and the beach half, with jumps and obstacles on both. We have one extra large indoor arena where two standard size dressage arenas can be fitted next to each other, seating for 500 guests are available, the north wall is windowed and the south wall mirrored.

Housing is no problem, the main estate house has 35 rooms, each with its own bathroom facilities. There is a main dining hall and a ball room and two function facilities. On either sides are the smaller rooms with their own kitchen, bathroom and living area, combined they have 20 rooms. We also have more private chalets scattered across the grounds with one small paddock and a small enclosure.
